Wilda Jean
Roberts
Oct 10, 1945 — Jul 27, 2023
Colville
In Loving Memory
Wilda Jean Roberts
Wilda Jean Roberts, age77, passed away with her loving daughter, Charlla, by her side in Colville, Washington on July 27, 2023. Wilda was born in Glenwood, Washington on October 10, 1945, the 7th of 10 children to Vern and Thelma (Murray) Kuhnhausen.
Wilda would spend most of her childhood in Glenwood, completing elementary and middle school here, before the family would relocate to Vancouver, WA when Wilda was 15. Wilda would begin attending, and go on to graduate from Evergreen High School. Following graduation, Wilda would begin helping her mother in the home with her siblings and their children, and in 1967 she would welcome her first child, Charlla, followed by her son, Lincoln, in 1970. Wilda would continue to juggle helping with her family and raising her children, and the family would relocate to Battleground, and Wilda's family would be complete with the addition of her son, Kyle, in 1979.
As her youngest began attending school, Wilda was afforded the time she had never been before to pursue her own interests. She began attending Clark College with her daughter, Charlla, going on to graduate with an associates degree in chemical dependency counseling. Although she never worked in the field, she put her education to good use mentoring Kyle's friends and classmates, many of whom looked up to her as another mom and mentor, and taking in many other kids along the way.
Wilda would remain close to Charlla and her family for her entire adult life; after the two attended college together and Charlla relocated to Aberdeen, Wilda moved along with her, and when she relocated to Longview, Wilda was right there in tow. In 2020, Charlla and her family would make the decision to settle in Colville, Washington, and Wilda led the way, settling into Parkview Assisted Living just before Charlla and the rest of the family made their way over to their new home.
The one thing that Wilda enjoyed most in life was her family. Whatever she was doing, if she was with her grandchildren or the great grandkids, she was having the time of her life. Wilda had the pleasure of attending several Mariner games over the years with her son, Lincoln, and his wife, Jennifer, and would spend time at their house watching the Seahawks and Superbowl games. Wilda's specialty, homemade hamburger pizza with root beer floats, was on the menu any time she had the chance to make it. Family holidays and birthdays would alternate between Lincoln and Jennifer's home and Charla and Stan's home for many years. She was also a huge fan of Elvis, listening to his music any chance she got.
Wilda was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Thelma Kuhnhausen, and six of her siblings.
She is survived by her children, Charlla (Stan), Lincoln (Jennifer), and Kyle; her grandchildren, Joseph (Stephanie), KC (Gia), and Willow; her great-grandchildren, Kacestan, Charlee, and her birthday party partner Graciejo; and her siblings, Thelma, Terry, and Rick; along with numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
At this time, no services are planned. Please visit the on-line memorial and sign the guestbook at www.danekasfuneralchapel.com. Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory is entrusted with the arrangements.
