In Loving Memory

Weston Christopher Coots

Weston Christopher Coots, a little cowboy with a big smile, passed away in an accident on August 22, 2024.  Weston was born on September 17, 2021 in Colville, WA and soon was feeding cows on the family ranch with his parents, John H. Coots and Kinsey M. (Larsen) Coots.

Weston was destined to be Cowboy.  He loved his cows and had a passion for work.  At the age of two he could speak clearly and tell you the difference between cows and bulls.  His aunt would playfully argue with him to see if he really could identify the difference and he never hesitated.  There was no greater smile than when Weston was headed to the ranch. He could hardly wait to go work cows!

Wearing his cowboy hat, jeans, and boots he was off to days filled with adventure.  He was his dad's little shadow and his mom's ray of sunshine.  From the time Weston was 3 months old he was in the tractor daily feeding cows with dad. He had his own car seat made for the tractor. Weston deeply enjoyed riding horses with his parents. He rode with his mom until he was big enough to ride alone. In all his travels with his parents he never met a stranger and very much enjoyed talking to others and making new friends.

Weston loved to spend time with his family and friends. He could tell you what day of the week he would get to see his cousins and when he woke up he would ask if they were there yet. He and his cousins spent many days on there bikes or in the pool. Being at the ranch everyday he spent many hours with his grandpa, grandma, and great aunt and uncle.

While his parents were at work his grandma would come to the house to watch and play with him. He was always excited when grandma showed up for a day of adventure and learning. In the evenings after the chores where done he would help his mom and dad make dinner and then sit down at the table to talk about his day with great joy while they ate.

Weston is survived by his parents: John and Kinsey Coots; soon to be born sister (he was so excited to help care for her), Grandparents: Rick and Tanya Larsen of Colville, WA,  Shane and Teasha Coots of Clayton, WA, Julie Mattingly of Arlington WA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

A private family viewing was held at Danekas Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.  A celebration of life for Weston is planned for October 12, 2024 at the Ag Trade Center.  Please visit the online memorial and sign the guestbook at www.danekasfuneralchapel.com.  Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory have been entrusted with the arrangements.
