Theodore Francis "Ted" Swan

Theodore Francis (Ted) Swan of Rice, Wa. passed away at home on May 27th, 2022. He was born July 18th, 1930 in Redmond, Wa. Ted grew up and lived in Redmond until he joined the Army in July 1951. He spent two years in the Army where he was stationed in Korea.

After his discharge in June 1953, he met his wife-to-be Barbara Cooper. They were married on September 24th, 1954. Their only child, Liz, was born in October 1956. Ted and Barbara spent their married life in the Redmond area until they moved to Kettle Falls in October 1971 when they purchased an orchard. Ted spent most of his working years as a truck driver. He also worked as a carpenter and spent a lot of time remodeling houses.

He leaves behind his wife Barbara, daughter Liz Flugel (Dave), granddaughter Kate Forsberg (Kell), grandson Mike Flugel (Jaclyn), great grandsons Matt Swan, Evan Forsberg, Perrin Forsberg, Cordell Flugel, great granddaughters Treva Forsberg and Kailyn Flugel as well as his sister MaryEllen Wilson of Marietta, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents Rex and Frances (Widner) Swan and older brother David Swan.
