Susan K Lawson
Susan K Lawson, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on January 25, 2022 at home surrounded by family.
Susan was born on October 19, 1950 to Adam and Evelyn Kautzman in Mandan, ND. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1969, shortly after she married her high school sweetheart Clifford D Lawson on August 16, 1969. They had their son Tom in December 1969 and four years later they welcomed their daughter Tina in December 1973.
Their small family lived their life in Spokane, WA until they moved to Colville, WA in 1979. They traveled a lot of states and started a lot of businesses together such as Susie Q's Cabinet shop in Salmon, ID. As well as several others but landed their final business Pine Grove Junction in Republic, WA in 1987 until 1995 when Clifford passed away.
Susan was diagnosed with MS in the early 90's, as her illness progressed, she worked several different jobs including a cook at Ferry County Hospital. Susan's fight with MS was long from over, but it never stopped her from doing what she loved by spending time with family. Susan loved watching her kids, grandkids and great grandkids opening gifts during the holidays and seeing the joy on everyone's face.
Susan was beautiful, kind, loving, inspirational, funny, strong, big-hearted, graceful, caring, lively, hopeful, spunky, resilient, uplifting, outgoing, and conspicuous.
She is proceeded in death by the love of her life, Clifford Lawson; her parents, Adam and Evelyn Kautzman; brother, Ken Kautzman; and her great granddaughter, Novalee Hotchkiss.
She is survived by her sister, Yvonne Kautzman of Spokane; brother, Jerry and Kay Kautzman of ND; son, Tom Lawson Spokane; daughter, Tina Hotchkiss of Colville; her grandsons, Dalton Hotchkiss of Colville, Cody and Kelsi Hotchkiss of Colville, Jordon & Stacey Hotchkiss of Colville, Clifford Lawson of Spokane: her granddaughters, Kyla-Jo Hotchkiss of Colville, Samantha Lawson of Spokane, Courtney and Jordan Bilodeaux of Cheney; her 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Susan K. Lawson will begin at 10:00 a.m.. Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville, WA with graveside service and vault interment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Republic Cemetery in Republic, WA.
