Obituary

Stephen Wade (Steve) Nichols passed away on November 14 th , 2021 at Reno NV after a short battle with COVID.  Steve was born on January 13 th 1971 in Colville WA.  He attended Colville Schools and graduated a 12-year Senior in 1989.

In 1999 after working in Colville for a while, opportunities took Steve to the Reno/ Carson City area where he worked in heavy equipment operation and raised his three boys.  He was employed by Q&D Construction, operating most all of the rock moving equipment.  This work suited him well and he excelled in it.

Many of Steve's enjoyments were cars (fast, broken, old, fast, street rods, muscle cars, but mostly fast ones), motorcycles, wrestling, boating, and running big equipment.  Recent years brought him into the sport of rock climbing in his jeep.  His jeep went through a multitude of changes, of which he prided himself on accomplishing himself with long hours of wrenching and re-building of parts.  All of this work took him up higher on the mountains and rock ridges each weekend.  Friends that had the stomach were welcome to join him on these excursions.  When at home time was filled with putting together trucks for his upcoming sons, or getting a street rod assembled, or maybe the boat prepped for an outing on the water with the boys.

Steve is survived by his parents George and Marie Nichols Jr. of Colville, his three sons Cooper, Colton, and Tucker Nichols of Carson City, a granddaughter Luna Nichols of Carson City, sister Connie (Kevin) Mahugh of Colville, brother Edwin Nichols of Northport, special friend and partner Amber Morris, also several aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Colville and Tri-Cities area.
