Shirley June Howard

Shirley June Howard, age 86, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2021 in Colville, Washington.  Shirley was born in Medical Lake, Washington on June 2, 1935, to Harry and Gladys (White) Olson.

Shirley was usually busy at work waiting tables, but whenever she had free time, she loved to go camping with her kids, she was an excellent cook and baker.  Shirley could cook any meal and bake any dessert, but something very special was her extra fluffy cheesecake, a recipe she carried for many years, before passing its secrets down to her daughter, Shaun. Shirley loved spending time baking cookies with all of her grandchildren. Along with antiquing, playing bingo and teaching Sunday school.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Gladys Olson; brother, Stanly Olson and sister Diane Berg.

She is survived by her daughters, Shaun (Leon) Mitchell, Victoria Canipe; her son, Earl Howard Jr.; her grandchildren, Devin (Elaine) Mitchell, Karisa Mitchell, Earl (Savannah) Howard III, and Sham Marie; and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
