In Loving Memory

Shirley Jeane Henry

Shirley Jeane Henry, a 7-year area resident, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving husband by her side on December 7, 2021. She was born in Oakland, CA on September 17, 1956 to Hubert and Jeane (Cunio) Flock.

Shirley lived her early years in the Oakland, CA area until her father passed away when she was quite young. Her family moved to Western Washington in the Renton/Seattle area where she attended Skyline High School. Shirley had a deep love of all animals, but her horses where her favorite. She began raising, training and breeding them at a young age and she had an absolute knack of caring for them. Shirley worked for the Port of Seattle and was the first female port truck driver there. She eventually went back to school and received her degree from Green River College. Shirley began working for the Federal Aviation Administration as a Supervisor who oversaw the day-to-day workings and completing of the FAA physicals, remaining there until retiring.

Shirley met Dean Henry and the two began conversing which led to romance and eventually marriage on May 11, 2015. The two moved up to Dean's family property and they began building their home. Shirley loved the solitude of the mountains and ability to have all of her animals there. Shirley and Dean could often be seen during the holidays with their horse and carriage team offering rides to the community up and down main street. Shirley was a firecracker who had a deep soul and was filled with love, she will be greatly missed by those that knew her best.
