Shirley Lorraine Anderson
Shirley Anderson passed away peacefully on October 19, 2021 in Colville WA. Shirley Lorraine Anderson was born in Iowa Sept 3 1932 to Joseph and Edith (Levine) Korinke.
After High School Graduation, Shirley married Charles Dean Cory who was in the Air Force & relocated to Fairbanks Alaska where their first girl was born. After relocating to California Shirley gave birth to 5 more daughters. After Chuck and Shirley divorced, her mother Edith Korinke came to help raise her 6 girls as she had to go to work to make ends meet. For over 20 years she worked hard and raised her girls alone and even helped raise some of her Son in Laws. She had incredible strength and fortitude that carried her and her family through many hard times. Shirley came to visit a daughter who have moved to Colville and meet and fell in love with George Anderson. They were married July 2, 1989. All her children relocated to Colville to be with their Mom and George became a "Pop" to her girls and their families.
Shirley was very involved in AA, the Hospital Auxiliary, Bowling, Lady Elks and Ladies Golf Club. She was also very dedicated to the Catholic Church and volunteered to visit those who could no longer come to the Church and deliver communion to them.
She is well known in this area for helping others. Always willing to share her story and encourage others and give advice asked for or not.
Preceded in Death by her Parents, all her brothers and sisters, First Husband Charles Cory and Second Husband George Anderson, One Grandson Andrew Puett, and Son in Law Rod Puett. She is survived by Children, Denise Rogers & husband Bill, Debra Marsh, Dana Cory, Darcy Puett & Jim, Diane Stanford & Andy, Darla Nez & George, Step-son Bob Anderson & wife Kelly, Step-daughter Sue Poe & husband John and 18 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her Family.
The Funeral Mass for Mrs. Shirley L. Anderson will begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colville, WA. The graveside service and vault interment will follow at the Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville, WA. Father Kenny St. Hilaire as celebrant. Memorial contributions may be given to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colville. Please visit the online memorial and sign the guestbook at the www.danekasfuneralchapel.com .
