Roy Melvin Yaeger

Roy Melvin Yaeger our beloved grandfather (papa), father, brother, uncle, and friend fought an incredible battle with Cancer until January 18th 2022. Roy was born on July 27th 1944 to William Welcome Yaeger and Lena Eliza Yaeger of Gifford WA.

He was raised on their family farm until he left home for Colville WA. He bought property and worked long hard days, to make it his own. He eventually met Jean, and they had a son Scott Yaeger in 1971. Sometime later, he met Lydia and they had a daughter Jessica Yaeger in 1983. He loved his children and grandchildren deeply!

Roy also had a love for farming, engineering, mechanics, and gardening.

He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Lena, his brother Alvin (Tye) Yaeger, brother Harold Yaeger and his granddaughter Auburn Schaefer.

He is survived by, Son Scott Yaeger (Kim) and Grandchildren Aaliyah and Shontz Yaeger, Daughter Jessica Yaeger (Mark), Granddaughter Grace. As well as his siblings Sharon Yaeger, Wayne Yaeger and family, Sister in-law Marlene Yaeger and family, Mildred Parsell and family and many cousins. Roy was a one-of-a-kind man and will be deeply missed by those that knew him!

Visitation will be from 9 am to 5 pm on Thursday Jan. 27, at Danekas Funeral Home in Colville. Service will be at 10 a.m. Jan. 28, with graveside service at Meyer Falls Cemetery in Kettle Falls. A celebration of life will be held at the Kettle Falls Gun Club after the graveside service. Danekas Funeral Chapel is entrusted in care.
