Ronnie Nick
"Ron" Mclean

In Loving Memory
Ronnie Nick "Ron" McLean
Ronnie Nick "Ron" McLean, age 64, passed away with his loving wife, Loressa, by his side on April 5, 2023, in Spokane, Washington. Ron was born on February 18, 1959 to Roland "Nick" and Betty (Moore) McLean in Colville, Washington.
Ronnie was raised on the McLean farm in Addy, where his family has been homesteading for the 2 generations that preceded him. At a young age, Ron knew exactly what he wanted to do in life, and after he had finished his time attending Colville High School, he made the decision to take his talents with music and turn them into a career. Ron quickly became an accomplished musician, playing with top 40's bands, before forming a band of his own, Monorail, where he carried the rhythm on bass guitar. Together, the band played countless shows, and after a few years, Ron would go on to join another band, The Avengers, with a few of his really good friends and fellow musicians.
Ron's music career would carry on into the 90's, with him taking up drums, guitar, singing, and songwriting, and at this point, his focus would shift to the family farm he had been raised on. As he took on more responsibility in the mid-90's, Ron was able to change some of the farms practices for the better. 1995 saw the most major change, organically farming the wheat and peas, as Ron was not a fan of the pesticides, fertilizers, and other chemicals commonly used throughout his childhood. Ron would continue farming with his father until Nick's passing, at which point Ron took over the farm officially.
In the mid-2000's, Ron would begin dating the love of his life, Loressa Hardee, after having been family friends for many years. There were many moments that they shared together that Loressa knew Ron was the man for her, from the chips and salsa he'd share in his green 60's style chip bowl, to the first time they travelled together to go camping, stopping at Cadillac City for beer and hotdogs and the first time she saw him with his hair down. Their friendship would continue to blossom into love, and on June 10 , 2008, they would welcome a daughter, Misty.
The new family began building countless memories together, from snowmobiling and dirt biking to riding jet-skis, Ron made sure that his family had a sincere appreciation for the outdoors. He even passed along his musical talents to his daughter, with her taking up the piano. Ron and Loressa were blessed with a second daughter, Maddison, on February 6, 2016, and with this, their family was complete.
Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Ron will never be able to forget his generous and caring nature, his great laugh, or his amazing smile. In everything he did, he was looking out for the people around him, always ensuring his family and friends that they were loved and cared about. Farming is more than a full-time job, but Ron always made sure that he had quality time with his daughters, who were the light of his life. Madison will particularly miss all of the laughs from "tickle time" with daddy, and Misty will always remember his warm smile and contagious laughter as he shared stories with her over coffee and at the library.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Roland "Nick" and Betty McLean; and his sisters, Debbie McLean and Vickie Digilio.
He is survived by the love of his life, Loressa McLean; his two loving daughters, Misty and Maddison; his sister in law, Deserea Mcculla and her husband, Caleb; his mother-in-law, Lorri (Joe) Ruiz; along with countless friends and extended family members.
A celebration of Ron's life is being planned for mid-2023, details will be announced at a later date. Please visit the online memorial and sign the guestbook at www.danekasfuneralchapel.com . Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory is honored to be entrusted with Ron's care and cremation.
