Ronald Paul Garner

“Smiley the Clown”


Ronald Paul Garner was born in Portland, Oregon on December 12, 1960. Ron was creative and artistic. He wrote and performed music. He played multiple instruments. He enjoyed signing karaoke at Fired Up Pizza and he loved the Grand Ole Opry.

Ron was talented and he enjoyed working with clay and painting. He had many great memories of playing cribbage with friends and he loved working on his father’s fishing boat.

He is remembered fondly by many children for his work as “Smiley the Clown.” Ron also worked as a bank clerk, radio disk jockey, teacher, bus driver, healthcare worker, and most importantly, he worked at his ministry.

Ron is survived by his brother, Adam Garner, his sister, Lisa Siversten, and his numerous cousins and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on June 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
