Ron Scott Kennedy

Ron Kennedy, age 71, passed away unexpectedly at his Chewelah, WA home with his wife, Billie, by his side on April 14, 2024.  Ron was born January 22, 1953.  He met Billie (Dana) while working as a firefighter for Fire District 8 in Spokane, WA.  She was the love of his life.  They joined in marriage May 4, 1973.  Together they raised 3 beautiful children.

Ron was an achiever and by the time he graduated from high school, he received the highest honor of "Eagle Scout".  After their marriage, they moved to Deer Park, WA on acreage.  There the children learned to care for farm animals and value a garden.  In time, Ron became the owner / operator of a long-haul truck.  He and his wife traveled delivering freight to nearly every state in the US- not to mention Canada.  Ron had a love for cats, especially "Diesel and "Spookie", and he would laugh and say "Thes cats have miles under their belts!"

Ron was quiet in nature, a man of few words, but had a heart of gold and loved his family.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Jack "Jake" and Margorie Kennedy.  He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 51 years, Billie Kennedy, at the home; his children, Jason Kennedy of Gilbert, AZ, Kimberly "Kim" Pace, of Huntington Beach, CA , and Kellie Ross of Myrtle Beach, SC; his grandchildren, Mia Kennedy of Gilbert, AZ, and Jake and Sam Ross of Myrtle Beach, SC; his siblings, Kyra Kennedy of Danville, OR and Sean Streeter of Noble, OK; cousins, Kay Moore, Penny Stimac, Allyne Muncey, Stuart Shawen, Susan Peterson, and John Ohrmann; and his niece and nephew, Megan Shinn and Matthew McGrath, all of whom will miss his kind and loving nature.
