Robin Kent Nelson
Robin K. Nelson, of Colville, passed away October 26, 2021. He was born May 9, 1950, in Cheney, WA, to Maurice and Evelyn (Johnson) Nelson.
At the age of 4, Robin and his family moved to Spokane, WA, where he started elementary school. In 1960, the family bought property in the South Basin and after remodeling the house moved to Colville two years later. Robin graduated from Coville High School in 1968. Shortly after graduation Robin joined the National Guard where he served for six years.
After high school, Robin worked at Vaagen's until March of 1971 when he co-opened and operated Nelson Tire with his dad and brother. He married his wife Kathie Lentz in 1992. After 22 years, the business was sold and he began custom haying. He farmed for several more years, enjoying his horses and cows.
Robin always had a passion for cars. Throughout his life, he often bought, traded, and sold old cars, trucks, and equipment. Most recently, Robin liked watching MeCum Auctions.
Robin was preceded in death by his parents Evelyn and Maurice Nelson.
He is survived by his wife, Kathie at their home in Colville; brother, Rod (VAL) of Colville; son, Chad (Cassi) of Colville; daughter, DeAnna Dell of Colville; son, Tom (Lori) Baun of Colville; Grandchildren, Kyra, Mason, Deacon, Tiana and Jaidyn Beardsley; Cameron, Jordan and Cooper Dell of Colville; TJ Baun of Texas; Trent Baun of Cheney, WA; Tyler Baun of Montana; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Don (Cheryl) Lentz of Colville; sister-in-law, Debbie (Juan) Adams of Spokane; and Shannon Antoine.
