Robert "Bob" Janke, a longtime resident of the Onion Creek area near Colville, WA, went home to Jesus on August 6th, 2022 at age 83.  Bob was born to Clarence and Ina Mae Janke April 29th 1939, at Deaconess in Spokane, WA.

As a child, he made many memories with his 9 siblings. After school Bob joined and served in the navy then started a career with Boise Cascade where he worked 40+ years to retirement.

Bob met his wife, Jan in 1964 in Pinehurst, ID they enjoyed many adventures together. They took great pride making their forever home in Colville, Washington where they guided 4 children Richard Swigart, John Swigart, Cindy Dobbs, and Debbie Fuller thru life choices. Bob and Jan were married June 10th, 1983 in Elko, NV.

In addition to being a dedicated loving husband and father, Bob also loved fishing, boating, camping, and game nights, especially pinochle. Bob loved spending time with family, every year Bob and Jan would have a required week-long camping family reunion. His entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, and spent many years helping the community.

Bob joins his parents, Clarence and Ina Mae Janke; wife, Janet Janke; granddaughters, Angela Swigart and Deidra Dobbs; 4 sisters and 4 brothers; his daughter, Cindy Janke-Dobbs; son, John Swigart, in Heaven.

He is survived by son, Richard (Janine) Swigart; daughter, Debbie Fuller; daughter-in-law, Valorie Swigart; sister, Anne Foss; many grandkids and great grandkids that he loved so much.

There will be a celebration of life at Church of the Nazarene Saturday, September 10th, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at 368 E. Astor Ave, Colville, WA 99114 (Online viewing options available).
