Richard Donald Carroll

Mr. Richard Donald "Richie" Carroll, age 33, passed away December 30, 2024 in Colville, WA. Richie was born October 21, 1991 in Lancaster, CA.

Richie was known to be fiercely protective of and loyal to his family and friends.  He made a point of checking in on his uncles every night to make sure they were well.

Richie was a hard worker.  He worked as a cook for McDonald's in Colville. He loved to cook and was known for reprimanding others for putting condiments on their meats.  His belief was that if the meat had been properly seasoned and prepared, it shouldn't need anything else.  He was affectionately called the Barbarian by family members as he loved to eat the Thanksgiving turkey legs.  "Give me my turkey leg!" he would say.

In his free time, Richie enjoyed gaming.  He loved to play X-Box.  He was super competitive.  He played online and would often comment matter of factly, "I'm just better" or "You're not even good" or "You're a Bot!"  In addition to X-Box, Richie loved all things Anime and the Supernatural.

Family members say they will miss "the stuff he did that drove us crazy."  He loved playing the devil's advocate.  Richie would argue with someone just for the sake of arguing and getting someone rowled up.  Those that knew him best could read him well and could see his facial expressions change the minute he had hooked his opponent.  Richie liked to randomly walk into the living room and say, "Get out of my chair" to his brother even though his brother had been sitting there for some time AND the chair was his!

Children and animals loved him.  Underneath his stubborn and tough exterior, he was a big softy.  He had dreams of curing people of their ailments and living forever.  Richie will be missed by extended family especially his cousins.  They remember him checking in and saying, "Cuz, I was wondering…."

Richie is preceded in death by his brother, Rory.  He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Gordon; brothers, Randy, Russell, and Rocky; niece, Emalynn; Uncles, Aunts, and many other loved cousins.
