Obituary

Rex Grant Hubbell, age 24, was called home to Our Heavenly Father on November 8, 2021 in Kettle Falls, WA. Grant was born on Oct. 5, 1997 in Clackamas, OR. the son of Bruce Grant and Karla May (Kuhle) Hubbell.

Grant's early years were shared with his family in Gresham, OR. They moved to Nine Mile, WA when he was 5 and there, he completed kindergarten and first grade. Grant's second grade year began in Colville, WA and there he continued through the 3rd grade. Grant made a final move to Ephrata, WA in 2007. Grant finished high school in Ephrata and graduated with the class of 2016. On November 28th of 2016, Grant enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He served 4 years as a welder and fabricator and on Dec. 1, 2020 he finished his enlistment at Camp Pendleton as Lance Corporal. Grant was home on Christmas Eve 2020 in time to share the holidays with family. After several months, Grant returned to Colville area where he resided with his grandparents, Fran and Carol Kuhle in Kettle Falls, WA. He had recently begun work at Colmac Coil in Colville as a welder.

During his High School years, Grant enjoyed running cross-country and track on the school team. He grew up hunting, fishing, camping, and enjoying the outdoors with family. Grant enjoyed improving his shooting skills and expanding his knowledge about firearms. He enjoyed playing X-Box and always looked forward to the new editions of the games. Grant had a growing interest in history which led to reading and watching many documentaries of past events and people. His intellect was one of analytics and he worked at his own pace to make sense of the information, application and circumstances that surrounded him. His wisdom was offered and often observed through his advanced vocabulary and in-depth discussions. There was nothing he liked better than an engaging conversation on historical events, firearms, or government. Grant studied the teachings of the bible and found comfort with understanding God's grace and love.

Those closest to Grant knew that he had a tender heart and had a compassion for those less fortunate. He had a love for our country, was very patriotic, and showed admiration and respect for our Veterans. Grant will be forever loved and missed and always remembered in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jaycob Weaver.
