Obituary

Randolph Terry "Randy" Erickson

Randolph Terry Erickson passed away on April 9, 2022, in Spokane, Washington. He was born in Everett, Washington, on June 10, 1959, to Robert and Alice (Coutts) Erickson.

Randy was the third of six children. He is predeceased by his Father, Mother, and his younger sister, Sue, who tragically died in a house fire at four years old. He is lovingly remembered by his four brothers, Berry, Kerry, Durfee and Brian.

As a child, Randy and his family moved to a farm in Valley, Washington in 1967. His father worked as a logger and tree feller, and his mother was a homemaker. Randy attended school in Springdale, Washington and eventually purchased and operated his own logging company.

Unarguably, Randy's proudest accomplishment was that of his family. His first wife, Diana, to whom he was married for 22 years, they had four boys and two girls together. Additionally Randy had two boys and one girl with his second wife Jerry. Those nine children gave him 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who he loved and cherished deeply.

Randy found joy in the solitude of the outdoors and liked to spend his time hunting and fishing, and he was also a horticulture enthusiast. Randy was unfortunately diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis over 25 years ago, which rapidly progressed over the past decade, leaving him largely immobile. Despite these obstacles, Randy never stopped fighting against his disease, and lived an outstanding life with help and support from his loving children—many of who did everything in their power to accommodate his disability.

Randolph Terry Erickson was deeply cherished by his many friends, community, and his loving family and his story and heritage will live on through his descendant's for generations to come.

Services will be held at the Valley Bible Church, 3061 Pine St, Valley, WA 99181 on April 25, 11 AM, burial services and potluck reception to follow.
