Patrick L. Glenn
Patrick L. Glenn, 86, passed away peacefully on March 19th, 2025, at his home in Kettle Falls, WA.
He was born July 8th, 1938, in Bremerton, WA to Thomas E. Glenn and Vera L. Glenn. His father served in the U.S. Navy and the family traveled with him around the country, spending time in Kodiak, AK before settling in Washington State.
Pat graduated from Eatonville High School in 1956 and attended the University of Washington where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. In 1957, he was the Lightweight Fist Fest Champion. He graduated in 1960 after completing ROTC and receiving his Second Lieutenant bars.
He served six years in the Air Force as a navigator on the C-130 aircraft. He left active duty in 1965 and joined the 97th Reserve Squadron at McChord Air Force Base. In 1966, he was employed by Alaska Airlines as a Flight Navigator on their C-130 charter trips from Travis Air Force Base to Vietnam. The 97th Squadron was activated for a year and a half for the Pueblo Incident, and he was upgraded to the C-141 from McChord. He navigated many trips to Vietnam until 1973. In conjunction with the reserves, Pat continued his career with Alaska Airlines. He served as Directors of Aircraft and Crew Scheduling, Flight Control and Flight Crew Training. In 1969, he met his wife Terry, who also worked in Flight Operations. They were married November 13, 1971. In 1985, Pat was promoted to Vice President of Flight Operations and retired from the Air Force reserves one year later. He became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 1990 until his retirement in 1995.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting and camping with his family. After retirement, Pat and Terry traveled extensively in their motorhomes and travel trailer as well as numerous cruises, trips to Hawaii and their condo in Arizona.
Pat was a lifetime member of the VFW, American Legion, UW Alumni Association and Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He was also a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
Pat is survived by his wife Terry, sister Sheila, his daughter Kelly, son Tom, and daughter Erin (Gregg), grandchildren Megan, Kellen, Meisa, Abi, Micah, Camryn and Mckenna and great-grandchildren Abe and Shannon. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Vera, his sister Barbara, brother Michael and daughter Shannon.
Pat will be laid to rest at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriner's Children's Hospital. Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
