Kettle Falls
In Loving Memory
Patricia Ann "Pat" Weiss
Patricia "Pat" Ann (Ward) Weiss, formerly of Colville, Washington, age 76, passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord on February 18, 2022. Pat was born in Deer Park, Washington in 1945 to Dorothy (Houston) and Lelon Ward. Pat was the seventh of eight children. She grew up in Loon Lake, Washington and attended elementary school in the historic Loon Lake schoolhouse. She went on to High school in Deer Park. Pat graduated in 1963 and soon met and married Ernest Woodson Weiss in 1965. The couple moved to the Seattle area and had two children, son Paul Weiss and daughter Ann (Weiss) McKern.
In the mid-seventies, the couple returned to Eastern Washington to raise their family and make Colville, Washington their lifelong home. Patricia was a homemaker and loved following her children's activities. She never missed a game; it didn't matter if it was a home game or a contest three hours away. She was always there to cheer on the Colville teams! Pat was her children's number one fan! After raising her two children, she found great joy in being a grandmother and great grandmother. Of course, her grandbabies were the smartest, cutest kids on the planet! Above all, Pat always had time for her family, no matter what.
After her husband, Ernie, passed away in October of 2016, Pat moved to Spokane to live with her son and his family. While there, she reconnected with her classmates from the Deer Park class of '63 and thoroughly enjoyed meeting up with old friends. She loved enjoying a good meal with family and recalling stories about the crazy antics of "Ernie and the kids". She would laugh so hard she cried. Pat prized getting into feisty conversations about politics and the state of the world; however, the subjects never dampened her spirits, as she always had faith about exactly where she was going when she left this place!
Pat is survived by son, Paul Weiss and wife Tessa Weiss of Spokane and daughter Ann (Weiss) McKern and husband Rod McKern of Kettle Falls. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren include: Ashlee Weiss of Spokane, Alexis Weiss of Spokane, Bryant Weiss and wife Breezey Weiss and their child, Angel Weiss of Colville, Brandon Wheeler and Breanna Wheeler of Spokane, Dalton McKern and wife Bre McKern and their children Aubree McKern and Mason McKern of Kettle Falls. Patricia was preceded in death by her five brothers and one sister: Roger Ward, Larry Ward, twins-John Ward and Joe Ward, Earl Ward and Nancy (Ward) Lauderdale. She is survived by her sister, Sharon Ward of Oregon.
