Norwood Douglas Milton
NORWOOD DOUGLAS MILTON was born December 1, 1951 in Houston, Texas, to Norwood Milton III and Mary Louise Polk Milton. He like to go places, from wandering to the next block even before he was old enough for school, to Europe and later Hawaii. He came to Colville about ten years ago to be near and help his mother, and died September 24, 2021.
He is survived by his three children, Richard Milton (Sandra), Elisabeth Kramer and David Milton, four grandchildren, a sister, Summer Stahl (Ralph), five nephews, cousins and many friends.
He lived in Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Germany, as well as Texas, Southern California, Hawaii and Colville, Washington. He was involved in sales. He studied electrical engineering, had a high GPA, and was preparing for a position at the observatory on Maui when he had an accident that made him give up that plan. He also was a student of astronomy and liked to observe the night sky. He played the guitar and sang beautifully. He memorized large portions of the Bible, and was working on the book of Revelation at his death.
He had several accidents which made life painful and physically challenging, but he usually managed to have a smile on his face anyway.
A memorial service will be held at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Sand Canyon Drive in Chewelah, October 23, 2022 at 11 am followed by a lunch.
