Nicki Ann
Kennedy
Jan 25, 1957 — Apr 2, 2025
Kettle Falls
In Loving Memory of
Nicki Ann Kennedy
Mrs. Nicki Ann Kennedy entered into rest April 2, 2025, in Colville, WA. Nicki was born January 25, 1957, in Colville, WA to Glen and Wanda White.
Nicki met the love of her life, John Kennedy, while attending Kettle Falls High School. The two would marry two weeks prior to her high school graduation. John was serving in the US Army at the time. The two would relocate to Ft. Lewis for a period and John would be off to Germany. Nicki returned to Kettle Falls during that period and would join John at Ft. Hood in Texas. Over the next 20 years the couple and their young family would move several times including 2 stints in Germany and 2 at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. Nicki worked as a civil servant while they were stationed on the various bases.
Nicki was known as being incredibly dependable. Work was work. While working she devoted herself completely to the job. She would do whatever needed to be done.
Nicki was a hugger. She expressed her love through her hugs. She was always there when she was needed most. "She was my everything."
After being discharged from the US Army, Nicki and John would return to Kettle Falls where they took over the family orchard business. Nicki became known as "The Peach Lady." She went out of her way to make sure to build a clientele that would return. She had customers from the coast that would order several pounds of fruit. This fruit was so delicate that it would likely be over ripened before it got home. Nicki offered to can it for them! Another customer from Alaska would fly in just to get her fruit when it was at its peak. "You can't ever get tree ripened fruit like this in Alaska" they would say.
In her free time, she loved fishing. More often than not, it wasn't the actual casting of a line. Rather, it was being out in nature with the sounds, smells, sunshine, and the wildlife. Nicki loved watching the eagles.
Nicki is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, John, of 50 years; daughter Brett and son Cory; her 4 granddaughters; 1 great grandchild and brothers, Rod (Kathy) Busby, Greg Busby, Roy (Dang) White, Jim (Amy) White, Rob (Sylvia) White, and Kevin (Stephanie) Thompson.
There are no services planned at this time. A gathering will be held at a later date.
Please visit the online memorial website and sign her guestbook at www.danekasfuneralchapel.com. Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory have been entrusted with her care.
