In Loving Memory of Michele L Johnson

Michele L Johnson passed away in Spokane Valley Washington on July 10, 2025. She was born on February 12, 1944, in Seattle, Washington to her parents Wilfred and Caroline Landry.

Later in life Michele received her master's degree from the University of Oregon. She was married to the love of her life Robert William Johnson on August 18,1984. The couple honeymooned in Banf, Canada, a place they would return many more times. Together, they raised their son Kevin and daughter Deanna and went on many fishing trips for Walleye. Michele loved to fish with her husband Bill, taking trips to destinations such as Priest Lake and Lake Roosevelt, chasing the ever-elusive Walleye. Michele was a member of the Spokane Walleye Club and later, the Lake Roosevelt Walleye Club. She holds the family record of the biggest walleye caught, 12 lbs. The family also enjoyed camping trips to destinations such as Crater Lake and many national forests in the Pacific Northwest. Michele also loved to garden, cross stich, and crochet.

Michelle is preceded in death by both parents, Wilfred R. Landry and Caroline Pearl Wilson, and her loving husband. She is survived by her son Kevin Johnson; daughter, Deanna; brothers, Ken, Jerry, and Matt; sisters, Kathleen and Rosemary. She will be missed by her family, friends, and the Stevens County Community.

A Funeral Mass will be held on July 22, 2025, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 5:30 PM in Colville Washington. Interment to follow at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Spokane, WA, Wednesday July 23rd at 10:30 AM.
