In Loving Memory
Michael Steven Lee
Mr. Michael Steven Lee, age 70, passed away August 16, 2024 in Spokane, WA. Michael was born July 21, 1954 in Vancouver, WA. to Robert E. Lee and Phyliss (Istead) Lee. Michael was one of four children born to his parents. He entered the United States Marine Corp and proudly his beloved country. Michael would work in insurance sales for many years and then owned and operated his own blinds and window film store.
Michael loved horses. He and his wife, Teresa had 21 on their 40-acre ranch. These included Morgans, Missouri Fox Trotters and American Quarter Horse Paints. The couple held horse clinics and offered a horse rescue service as well.
Michael was a man of many talents. He enjoyed woodworking and building furniture. Michael was musically gifted – a bit of a minstrel. His favorite was singing and playing praise and worship music. His voice was beautiful and strong. Michael's faith was deep. He offered Bible classes via YouTube to a wide audience. He was a born again, Spirit-filled Christian. In fact, Michael and Teresa courted over the phone for three months. Michael lived in Colville at the time and Teresa lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Their conversations were around Bible stories and their faith.
One of his favorite past times was shooting pool. Another being travelling. He and Teresa would log many miles transporting horses. He will be remembered for having the ability to make you laugh. He was witty, silly, and a big tease.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Angelique. He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa; children, David Lee and Christina Lee Perez; and grandchildren, Devon Davis and Judd Perez; sisters, Kathy Fonsworth, Robin Solsheid, and Carol Samford.
