MICHAEL WAINRIGHT DAVIS

SEPTEMBER 13, 1945- NOVEMBER 03, 2024

Michael Wainright Davis, age 79, resident of Northport Washington, entered into rest on November 3, 2024. He was born on September 13, 1945 in Ann Arbor Michigan to his parents Bill Wainright and Beloved wife Margaret. Michael also had a brother, Timothy Davis.

Michael Wainright Davis was born a fine artist. Being the first son of commercial artist William Davis (who had a permanent commercial art studio in Baltimore), Michael did drawings prodigiously from infancy on throughout childhood.

As a young boy Michael would help his father study art books of famous paintings while his father attended the Maryland Art Institute. He would refer to these deep fond memories later in life When he approached oil paintings himself.

Moving from Baltimore to Southern Michigan then to the San Francisco Bay area, Michael did well in school. He studied Mathematics (logic) at UC Berkeley from 1969- t0 1971.

After studying in college for a few years, Michael produced oil paintings and ink drawings prolifically.

He had exhibits in San Francisco, Marin County, and Sonoma County. He was invited as an artist at the San Francisco Art Festival. Michael also had a private art dealer in San Francisco.

Michael Davis is survived by his son Matt Davis, Matts two children William, and Chloe, his brother Timothy Davis, and wife Ruth Davis.
