Maxine always did an amazing job of making the holidays a very special time. The family enjoyed wonderful dinners and decorations at Christmas prepared by her. She also baked many delicious cookies and treats for the holidays and through out the year. Working in her yard and growing beautiful flowers was a great passion for her. In later years they travelled in their motorhome on many shorter trips. They always had their dogs with them. Maxine was an avid animal lover all her life

She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother

She is survived by her children; Diane (Gary) Groves of Colville, Duane (Janet)Johnson of Vail, AZ, and Dan Johnson of liberty lake. Eight grandchildren; Maxine McLeod, Marianne Decker, Theodore Groves, Martha Fairley, Hope Vivanco, Tisha Johnson, Mitchell Johnson, and Tyler Johnson. Four great grandchildren;Landon McLeod, Adelle Decker, Axel Decker, and Jensen Decker.  A very special and caring Margaret Arendas who provided friendship and care to Maxine during this last year.

Graveside services and burial will be on Monday May 22,2023 11:30 am at the Johnson family cemetery
