Maurice Leroy
Poole
Mar 17, 1952 — Apr 25, 2022
Colville
Our Heavenly Father has chosen Maurice LeRoy Poole to become an angel on April 25, 2022, for his soul to shine bright forever.
Maurice was born on March 17 th , 1952 in Central California. His mother is Bonnie Cogdill, Spokane, and father Ralph E Poole Jr. (deceased) . Maurice spent a tour in Vietnam and when he returned was not the same person, he had medical issues that took a toll on him.
However, Maurice went to work for the Central Valley school district of which he took tremendous pride in. The students all liked him because of his humor and friendly attitude. Beloved by the C V students he was selected as the one staff member who was "most trusted for advice." He was so elated of the honor.
But he was also so proud of the fact he was an Asst. Baseball coach; and one of the proudest times in his life, and just had to be there to support the Bears, he, and wife Terri (deceased). He loved football games and went no matter what the weather was.
Summers were for the lake; their boat and fishing was the only thing that existed during this time. He would sign up for fishing derby's, of which he seldom won, but loved the challenge. Being on the lake and soaking up the sun, was his time for tranquility.
Maurice suffered for many years with acute neck pain, and it changed his life. There was no more spending time at the lake, there retreat at home changed him dramatically. However, Maurice and Terri were always there together.
Maurice left behind his mother, Bonnie Cogdill, Spokane; sister, Sandy Flood (Tim), Spokane, brother Dennis Poole (Cindy), Happy Valley, Oregon, daughter Marcie Ray of Colville, Wa . and numerous grandchildren, Mike Loomis –stepson, Rhonda Petruso- stepdaughter .
We will miss his smiles, laughter, and humor as he is floating across Coeur d'Alene Lake going for the big one! A beautiful place for peace and now resting in Heaven. RIP little brother.
