Marlene Thompson
Marlene May (Wilson) Thompson, 91, long-time resident of Colville, passed
away at Fairfield Village in Layton, Utah February 14.
Marlene was born in Rio Linda, California on December 29, 1933 to Wesley
Lafayette Wilson and Iva Lura May Quick.
Our beloved mother is survived by a brother, Dean Dalton Wilson of Yakima;
her four children; Shelley Marie Ross of Clearfield, Utah; Bennet Martin
Thompson of Layton, Utah; Robin Dean Thompson of Colville; Naomi May
Rampton of Moberly, Missouri; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 2
great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother, Eldon
Wesley Wilson of Addy, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Marlene was true to her testimony of God and her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her
love for her family on earth extended to beyond this life. She never doubted
she would reunite with loved ones in heavenly spheres.
Marlene was a truly gifted, talented lady with a drive to selflessly serve those
around her. She served her community with her talent for decorating cakes,
hair dressing, to playing the piano for several years for the local schools and
churches and many musical productions of all kinds. She brought those
talents with her wherever she lived. She was sought out and loved by the
lonely and downtrodden, praised by those she knew and worked with, and
very much loved and admired by her children.
Funeral services will be held March 1 at the Colville Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints at 11 a.m.
