In Loving Memory
Lloyd Charles Town
Our beloved husband and father Lloyd Charles Town passed away on May 21, 2025 at the age of 76 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was born on August 7, 1948 in Wenatchee Washington to Charles and Jeanette (Berg) Town.
On August 25, 1978 Lloyd married the love of his life, Chris Palm. They were married for 47 years. For two years, they lived in Wenatchee before moving to the Northport area in 1980. They welcomed 2 children, Brent and Amy into their family.
While growing up, Lloyd spent many hours in a wrecking yard and body shop which is Dad and Uncle owned. Through that, he acquired a love for old cars that led him to a restoration of a 1932 Pontiac car. Later in life, he acquired a 1954 Dodge power wagon that his uncle had owned in Cashmere. Lloyd started out as a meat cutter by trade in 1967 and worked at various other jobs as he was a jack of all trades which included everything from pole buildings to concrete finishing. In 1995, he started work for Stevens County Public Works and worked there until his retirement in 2014.
Lloyd loved being outdoors. He really enjoyed cutting firewood and going for walks and just enjoying the beauty of nature. Lloyd had a soft spot for animals. He enjoyed various pets which included special dogs and cats through the years. Lloyd loved to build and improve things whether it be an old truck or something for his home. Brent spent many hours working on projects with his dad.
Lloyd will be remembered for being a very giving and loving man. He enjoyed visiting with family, friends and neighbors and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He had a sense of humor that would make people laugh.
Lloyd had a strong faith and put God first in his life.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Chris, children Brent (Windy)Town, Amy Town, sister, Judy (Dave) Atkinson, Wenatchee and brother Bill Town, Cashmere, sister-in-law Linda Simmons, Colville and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 with funeral services to begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville, Washington.
