Lennette "Chris" Alvestad Lennette "Chris" Alvestad, a 32-year resident of Colville, WA passed away on May 7, 2024 at her Colville, WA home. Chris was born on Nov. 27, 1960 in Spokane, WA  the daughter of Earl and Dorothy (Paulsen) Alvestad.

Chris was raised in Wenatchee, WA where she attended school and graduated in 1978. She would later begin her family with the birth of her daughter Jessica. Together they moved to Portland, OR in 1982 where Chris met a young man by the name Ed Wagner. Their love grew and they exchanged vows. This was a wonderful time in Chris's life as she worked as a young professional at the Campfire office where their focus was youth development. She also cherished her time at home with her family. She and her daughter, Jessica, were an inseparable pair who enjoyed life had to offer. In 1993, Chris and Jessica moved to Colville, WA where Chris began to struggle in metal health and addiction. She worked locally as a house cleaner for several years. However, her struggles grew and with that her ability to work declined. Though the years she began to see hope and with the unconditional love from her family Chris started on the road to recovery. With her daughter and grandchildren at her side, she found hope in each new day and with that hope came strength. In the last half year Chris loved to take local drives with her care taker who became more like family and together go to the river for the fresh air and beautiful scenery.

She was always supporting her family by being present at birthdays, athletic events and everything else that she could. She shared a friendship with Edward Wooley for many of her later years. Chris was a collector of little knick-knacks and her walls were covered with pictures of her daughter and granddaughters whom she was so proud of. She had wonderful array of Mickey Mouse watches that gave her cause to smile when checking the time and reflecting on good times gone by.

Chris was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Pedersen of Colville, WA; three grandchildren, Kylee Pedersen of Spokane, WA, Talen Pedersen of Colville, WA, Brinlee Pedersen of Colville, WA; her kind and compassionate caregiver, Liz Bostrom . Lennette Chris Alvestad was laid to rest at the Mountain View Park Cemetery in a private ceremony and committal. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of your choice.
