Leita Beth Nieshe

Leita Beth Nieshe passed away peacefully at Buena Vista Nursing Home on March 21st, 2023 at the age of ninety-one. Leita Beth was born October 24th, 1931 in Speed Kansas to Howard and Lola Quanz and was the oldest of seven children. She graduated from Bellingham High School in 1949. While working in an ice cream parlor she met her husband William Nieshe Jr. They wed on January 18, 1952 in Bellingham Wa.

Leita Beth and Bill loved traveling, visiting wherever their children were living. Germany, France, Belgium, Texas, Alaska, and Colorado. Every year they traveled to Phillipsburg Kansas for the yearly family reunion. Leita Beth spent her adult life being a wife, mom, and homemaker. She loved picking huckleberries, morel mushrooms, cutting firewood and most importantly was Gonzaga's #1 fan! She was famous for her Nieshe beans, popcorn cakes, noodles and her dill pickles.

In November of 2002 Leita Beth suffered a massive stroke. It took her ability to walk, but not her willingness to live life. She wasn't expected to live, but her stubbornness kept her going for twenty more years. Leita Beth was preceded in death by her loving husband William, son-in-law Joe Hirsch, sister Donna Millspaugh, brothers-in-laws Charles Millspaugh, Darrel Johnson, Al Force and her only brother John Quanz.

She is survived by her sisters; Perlene Johnson, Billey Force, Sally Siverson(Sam), Dina Woracek(Larry), and sisters-in-law Kathy Quanz. Her daughters; Lorre Frazier(David), Susan Baumgarner(Tom), Chris Hirsch (Joe), Trisha Dennehy(Tom), and her son William(Vicki). Grandchildren Heather Taft(Glen), Cody Nieshe(Amy), Suzy Grubbs(Glen), Brad Frazier, Brandon Nieshe(Kim), Bethany Walker, Hannah Baumgarner(Corey), Aaron Baumgarner, Tara Bartot(Anthony), Trevor Dennehy(Yukiko), Taten Dennehy(Karissa), Sarah Elliott(Ben), Madison Hirsch (Trace). Great grandchildren; Elaine Mitchell(Devon), Andrew Taft, Jessie Nieshe, Colby Grubbs, Savannah Nieshe, Tori Nieshe, Trenton Grubbs, Elissa Nieshe, Rylee Frazier, Logan Nieshe, Cade Nieshe, Alexander Walker, Calle Nieshe, Kyros Conklin, Piper Elliott, Kaleb Conklin, Ty Dennehy, and Little Joe Elliott. Great grandson Levi Mitchell. And numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A celebration of life for Leita Beth will be held on Saturday, April 22nd at 3:30 at the Colville Hub, W, 231 Elep Ave, Colville, Wa 99114 . Memorial contributions may be given to the Charity of your choice.
