Larry Percy Meyers
Mr. Larry Percy Meyers, age 75, passed away August 6, 2024 in Colville, WA. Larry was born September 19, 1948 in Twin Falls, ID to Glen Perkins Meyers and Vallie Faye (Sneed) Meyers. Larry was the second of three children born to his parents. The family relocated to Colville when Larry was a young boy. He and his siblings grew up on a dairy farm. Larry attended Colville schools and graduated as a 12 -year senior in 1967. Shortly after graduation Larry joined the National Guard and would serve our country from 1967 – 1973.
While serving in the National Guard, Larry would marry Irene Rehn in 1969. They moved to Spokane for a brief time where Larry became a carpenter apprentice. After a year and a half, they returned to Colville to help his father with the dairy farm. Shortly after they returned to Colville, they welcomed their 2 daughters to their family – Kirsten (Kiki) Meyers and Michele Meyers. Larry and his father entered a partnership with Western Farmers in 1976 and then acquired the business a few years later and changed it to Farmers Supply. Larry would coach the girls' T-ball teams and also sponsor their team through Farm Supply. Larry and Irene divorced in 1999. In 2002 Farmers Supply was sold and Larry retired.
Larry remarried in 2008 to Ruby Meyers. Ruby passed away in 2009.
Larry loved the outdoors. He especially loved hunting and fishing. He often took two of his nephews with him. In addition to hunting and fishing Larry enjoyed water skiing and snow skiing, snowmobiling and camping where he could be with his family and friends.
Church was an important part of Larry's life. He was very actively involved and volunteered as often as he was able. Over the years he would attend the local Assembly of God Church and the Nazarene Church.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, and his second wife, Ruby. He is survived by his daughters, Kirsten (Kiki) Meyers of Kettle Falls and Michele Meyers of Seattle, WA, sister, Joan Simmons of Huntington Beach, CA, brother, Roy Meyers, of Cali, Columbia, South America and one granddaughter, Hanah Meyers of Seattle, WA, whom he really enjoyed spending time with..
A memorial service will be held on September 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Colville Church of the Nazarene. A lunch will be provided following the service.
