Obituary

Lance Del Lehman, age 55, a longtime resident of Northeast Washington passed away on Sept. 6, 2021 in Spokane, WA. Lance was born on November 2, 1965 in Colville, WA the son of Gary Del and Joyce Elaine (Deaver) Lehman.

He was raised in Kettle Falls and graduated as a 12 year senior from the Kettle Falls High School in 1984. He then moved to Spokane where he attended Kinman Business College. In 1986, Lance began working for Costco. He served a multitude of positions throughout his 18 years with the company. In June of 1991, Lance began dating a family friend, Jodi Dugger. On Nov. 30, 1991 the two of them exchanged vows and began their life and family in the Tri-Cities. They relocated to Spokane in the fall of 1992 and he assisted with the opening of the north side Costco warehouse. Lance later returned to school and earned his bachelor of science in dental hygiene through Eastern Washington University. He then worked as a hygienist for Dr. Robert Shaw on the South Hill for one year. Lance and Jodi had the opportunity to move back to the Colville area with their family and returned in 2005. He has worked as a hygienist for Inspire Advanced Dentistry in Colville since his return.

Lance had a passion for helping people through dental care and proper dental heath. He never considered his career as a hygienist to be work because he loved serving his clients and working alongside their amazing team. He woke early on college football days to begin following his favorite teams while doing his best not to wake the house with his excitement. Whenever possible, he ventured into the outdoors with his family, always drawing everyone in his family together in activity. Haag Cove, Deadman Creek, Pierre Lake and the Little Pend Oreille Wildlife Refuge were some of his favorite camping locations and the family visited them often. He was an avid huckleberry hunter and harvester. He harvested and Jodi cooked and created the huckleberry delights. Lance led each day with a compassionate heart and giving character. His grandchildren brought out his wonderful goofy nature and desire to create smiles and laughter.

Lance was currently serving on the board of directors for Colville Dollars for Scholars and as the lead deacon at the Kettle Falls Community Church. He was incredibly dedicated to the church and her needs from outreach and education to maintenance.

Lance was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce E. Lehman in 2007.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jodi Lehman, at the home; 4 children, Kiri Lehman of Colville, WA, Lexi Engle (Blake) – Coeur d'Alene, ID, Sawyer Lehman of Colville, WA, Sloan Lehman of Colville, WA; 3 grandchildren, Naomi Alldredge, Asher Engle and Jane Engle; father, Gary Lehman (Dotty) of Kettle Falls, WA, 2 brothers, Loren Lehman (Beckey) of Millersport, Ohio, Lane Lehman (Rhonda) of Priest River, ID; sister, Lacey Dugger (Jeff) of Wenatchee, WA; and several nieces and nephews.
