Kenneth Ray Lamm

Kenneth Ray Lamm passed away in Colville, Washington, Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the age of 81. He was born June 14, 1941 in Tilton, Illinois to the late Roy and Thelma (Estes)Lamm.

Kenneth grew up in Danville, Illinois until he was a teenager, when his family moved to Seattle, Washington. When Kenneth was 17 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Air Defense Missile Crewman. He was stationed at Fort Lawton, Washington and was honorably discharged in 1961.

While stationed at Fort Lawton, he met the love of his life, Patricia Louise Ward. They were married on Alki Beach in Seattle on June 11, 1961. Kenneth and Pat would continue to live in the Seattle area for several years. When they were first married, Kenneth would attend night school for the next four years, finishing his High School Diploma and then studying to be an Electrician. They would have 3 children, Christine, Kenneth and Roy.

Kenneth drove truck for several years. He worked for Reliable Transport and for Burlington Northern until an injury forced him to retire in 1985 at the age of 42. Kenneth and Patricia relocated to Gifford, Washington in 1991. Kenneth loved to go camping with his family and loved his RV. He really enjoyed a good campfire and always kept things interesting with his pyrotechnics. He loved to tease and keep you laughing, especially his mother-in-law. He especially loved to sit in his yard, and enjoying the lake with a good glass of wine. Most of all he loved his family.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, sister Elva (Peggy) Lamm; brother Arthur Lamm; daughter Christine Louise Stanton and son-in-law Bradley Stanton.Kenneth is survived by his wife of 61 years Patricia Lamm of Gifford,WA; sons: Kenneth Ray Lamm II (Beverly) of Rice, WA; Roy Theodore Lamm (Bridgette) of Fruitland, WA; sister Marjorie Berlin of Mountlake Terrace, WA; sister -in-law Nora Ward of Colville, WA; grandchildren, Jacqueline Carpenter (Brad) of Delta Junction AK; Ryan Lamm (Nicole Meyer) of Tacoma, WA; Wayne Lamm-Stanton of Sturgeon Bay, WI; Kennethin Jones of Spokane, WA and Kindra Mitzimberg (Matt) of Charleston SC, Candace LaCourse (Elisha) of Hillsboro, OR, Joseph Lingenfelder of Portland, OR; great grand children Aiden, Devanna,  and numerous nieces and nephews.
