In Loving Memory of Kathrin Edith Osborne
September 27, 1958 – July 20, 2025

Kathy Osborne, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away after giving it her all until her very last breath. Born on September 27, 1958, in Hawthorne, California, Kathy moved with her family to Pine Lake, Washington, in 1967 before settling in the Snoqualmie Valley, which became her lifelong home.
Kathy graduated from Mt. Si High School in 1976, where she was an enthusiastic gymnast who loved the sport and carried that same energy and determination into all areas of her life. A few years later, she welcomed her daughter, Cassondra, on July 3, 1980. On September 30, 1980, she proudly earned her Operator Cosmetologist and Esthetician license from Bellevue Beauty School, launching a career that would later lead her to owning her own salon in North Bend, where she shared her talent and warmth with countless clients and made several lasting friendships.
On September 25, 1982, Kathy married the love of her life, Don Osborne. Together, they built a life, filled with family, laughter, and lasting memories. They owned property in Ocean Shores and loved to frequent there, enjoying the peace of the ocean together and making new friendships. Kathy and Don were also deeply connected to their community, spending many years as active members of the Eagles Club in Snoqualmie and the Moose Lodge in North Bend. In 2016, they made their dream of moving to Colville come true, where they created their forever home.
Kathy will always be remembered as the life of the party—you could find her in any room just by following her unforgettable laugh. She was never shy about telling things how they were, yet she loved deeply and fiercely. Her vibrant spirit, honesty, and compassion touched everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Don Osborne, and her parents, Fred and Dorothy Lenk. Kathy is survived by her grandson, Taylor Schilling, her stepson, Donald Franco, her sister, Nan Pieretti; brothers, Richard Lenk, Marty Lenk, and Fred Lenk (Pam); her aunt, Sue Osborne; brother-in-law, Chet Osborne; nieces Nicole Flanagan (Patrick) and Katrina Flannery (Jake); nephew, David Lenk; her daughter, Cassondra Mattson as well as many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Kathy's honor on September 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at The Moose Lodge in North Bend, WA. It will be a potluck gathering, and all are welcome to bring a dish to share as we come together to honor her memory. Family and friends are also invited to share their favorite memories and stories of Kathy, keeping her laughter and spirit alive through the love she gave so freely.

Kathy's laughter, love, and vibrant presence will forever echo in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She was truly an amazing lady.

"Hunter S. Thompson once said: 'Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, Wow! What a ride."
