Katherine Ada Delp

Katherine "Kathie" Ada Delp, age 79, a longtime resident of the Kettle Falls, WA area, passed away on July 12, 2023 in Spokane, WA.  Kathie was born on June 5, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of James A. and Dorothy (Rey)Flower.

She was raised in Michigan and graduated with the class of 1962 from the Southfield High School in Southfield, MI.  She as very involved in her school programs and social clubs throughout her high school years.  Kathie moved to California with her family where she later met and married Gerald "Jerry" Fasching.  They resided in California for several years and Kathie worked in the banking industry.  She and Jerry moved to Kettle Falls, WA and established themselves on Mingo Mountain.  She soon went to work for Pinewood Terrace Nursing Home in their housekeeping department.  In the mid-1990, she and Jerry divorced.  Kathie remained in the area where she met Lewis G. Delp.  They were wed in 2000 and together resided in the Deadman Creek area north of Kettle Falls.  Kathie retired in early months of 2015 to focus her attention on the care of Lewis as his health declined.  He preceded her in death on May 16, 2015.  Kathie has remained in their Deadman Creek home since his passing.

She was a kind soul who offered a lifetime of sharing and generosity.  Kathie loved to collect and distribute recipes of all kinds.  She had a vast array of kitchen gadgetry and a hope to someday use it all!  She had collected an enormous supply of movies and shared her collection with anyone who expressed interest.  Some of her favorite moments were shared in the quiet of her home, enjoying the evening and a favorite beverage with Lewis.  If you had a moment to spare, Kathie may even discuss some of her recent discoveries regarding Ancient Alien contact, conspiracies, and theories.

She was also preceded in death by her one brother, James Flower and her parents.

Kathie is survived by a host of family and friends.
