Karron Marie Wolfe

Karron Marie Wolfe, age 83, a lifelong resident of Colville WA passed away on March 7, 2024. Karron was born June 26, 1940 in Colville, the first child of Robert & Shannon (Cook) Phipps.

She was born in the old Colville hospital on Astor Street & raised on the family farm on Highland Road. Karron began her education attending grade school at the Highland country schoolhouse. She then attended Jr. High & High School in Colville, graduating with the class of 1958. After graduating, she stayed with relatives in Spokane & worked at Woolworths for a short time.

On July 1, 1961 she married Tracy Darrel Wolfe at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Colville. They began a family with the birth of their daughter, Jeannie & four years later, their son, Dan. Karron worked as a homemaker, stay at home Mom & watcher of other people's kids that needed watching much of her life. She also worked at the Colville Bakery & Statesmen Examiner for periods of time.

Karron, together with her husband Tracy, were very dedicated to their children, parents & other family members & spent much of their time visiting family & sharing meals.

Going for drives all around the area was also a frequent & favorite activity. There was always a garden, at least a few flowers & a yard that needed to be tended to. She was also quite a prolific canner of fruits & veggies...peaches, green beans, zucchini relish & all kinds of yummy jam.

Karron was a woman that loved written words, whether in the form of letters or notes, crossword puzzles, poetry, books, newspaper clippings, or dictionaries...she actually read her encyclopedias!! She also knew how to recognize a need & would pretty much take care of & clean whatever crossed her path.

Karron was proceeded in death by her parents, in laws George & Elsa Wolfe, husband Tracy, brother Dwayne "Pudge" Phipps, brothers in law Dale, Charles, Dean & his wife Jan Wolfe.

She is survived by daughter Jeannie Ross of Colville, son Dan (JuLee) Wolfe of Ocean Shores WA; 2 grandchildren: Kali Schumacher (Chad) & Danner Ross, great grandchild Aaron Schumacher, brothers Bennie Phipps (Martha) & Kelly Phipps, sister in law Linda Phipps all of Colville, sister in law Sharon Padilla (Greg) of Bulverde TX, brother in law Dana Wolfe (Diana) of Morton WA & numerous nieces & nephews many of whom were very special to her.
