In Loving Memory

Karan Louise Ross

Karan Louise Ross, age 70, passed away unexpectedly in Spokane, Washington in the morning hours of October 18, 2021.  Karan was born on April 12, 1951 to Robert and Ina (Jorgensen) Bennett in Snoqualmie, Washington.

Karan was raised in the same home that has been in her family for 200 years, and here, she would meet her husband, David Ross.  Together, they would have two children, Stacie and David.  Karan's children a great deal of their childhood making memories with their mother going out into the woods to hunt for pinecones and mushrooms to sell to the community.  Karan lived for her children, and she always worked extremely hard to provide for them.  She had a great deal of skill with ceramics, and she still has a few pieces on display to this day.  After Karan's divorce, she would return to the same family home she was raised in.

When she wasn't working, one of Karan's biggest passions was animals.  From Chickens, ducks, and pigeons, to horses and dogs, Karan not only loved to be around animals, taking care of them brought her great joy.  Her favorite horse, Sunny, spent many days, and even some nights, carrying her over trails and through the woods, always sleeping with his head in her tent to be closer.

Karan was preceded in death by her Parents, Robert and Ina Bennett; and her loving son, Daivid Ross Jr.  She is survived by her daughter, Stacie Miranda; and her grandchildren, Chaytis', Sarah and Jason Ross, Benjamin Harp, and Cynthia Miranda.
