In Loving Memory

Judith "Judy" Ann Camp

Judith "Judy" Ann Camp, age 81, a longtime resident of Inchelium, WA passed away on February 8, 2022 in her Hall Creek home on the family ranch. She was born on April 20, 1940 in Wilbur, WA the daughter of Oscar Theodore and Erma Mae (Gent) Lindstrom.

Judy's family moved to Hall Creek when she was an infant. At the age of 3, she lost her father to a log truck accident and the family moved to Republic to be near family. They returned to the Hall Creek ranch during Judy's grade school years and there she was raised. Judy graduated from Inchelium High School in 1958 and sought further education in Spokane. She attended beauty school while residing in Airway Heights. On March 4, 1961, Judy exchanged vows with Ronald T. Camp and they made their home on his family ranch. Judy and Ron began their own family and she took great pride as a homemaker during her children's early years. She assisted with the ranching chores and eventually began working outside the home for the Post Office. Over 30 years later, Judy retired from the Post Office in the late 1990's

She was always involved with the activities of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Judy loved to watch sporting events in support of her family, her Zags and the PBR! Judy had the ability to turn work into fun and made camping trips out of pushing cattle and cooking an educational adventure. Her campfire cast iron meals were a favorite and always filling. From her earliest years to present, Judy was involved in 4-H and loved to share her knowledge and ranching roots with the up-and-coming generations or ranchers. In the quiet moments, she sewed quilts with a preference for making the tops and leaving the batting and backing for her family to complete. In the later years, she also took up a passion for rebuilding and showing old vehicles and attending classic cars shoes. She brought home several awards with her 1952 Dodge pickup and was working to rebuild a 1927 Model T. Judy had a take-charge personality and was affectionately titled "The Boss" because she was always in charge. Her family meetings were full of encouragement, life choice re-alignment "suggestions" as she saw fit to offer and pearls of wisdom from the past. Her green thumb and large garden carried her family through many winters a long spring seasons. Judy was tough, tireless and true in heart and action.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Camp in 2005; parents; siblings, Marie Lawrence, Leona Sandvig and Raymond Hamilton.

She is survived by her children, Deann Simmons (Pete) of Inchelium, WA and Russell Camp of Inchelium, WA; grandchildren, Jon Simmons (Brooke) of Inchelium, WA, Sandy Crow (Chris) of Arden, WA, Chrissie Lott of Spokane, WA, Jamie Anderson (J.J.) of Tekoa, WA; great grandchildren, Donavyn & Bryan Stahl, Justin Clarke, Taelor Snider (Dallas), Brandt and Vaughn Logan, Johnny Wilbur, Jaxon & Jacob Anderson; great-great grandchild, Raelynn Snider, nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
