Joyce Ann "Terry" Tyler

Joyce Ann "Terry" Tyler, age 89, passed away with her loving husband by her side on the morning of December 13, 2022.  Terry was born on March 12, 1933 in Boulder City, Nevada.

Early in her adulthood, Terry was left a young widowed mother of three children, however she would meet the love of her life, Ross Tyler, while living in California.  When the two were wed in 1973, her family was complete.  The couple along with their daughters, Karen, Cheri, Dana, and two-week old Jenny, packed up their lives and made the journey from Orange County, California to Rice, Washington, where they would settle their family farmette, complete with cows, lamb, and ducks.

Terry soon found herself involved in the community through various clubs and organizations, including the Kettle Falls Lady Lions and several groups in the Rice area.  When she wasn't working, or attending the various games and activities her beloved grandchildren were involved in, Terry had a passion for the outdoors.  She loved her flower garden, especially watching her Hostas grab the attention of hummingbirds, deer, and various other creatures as their flowers bloomed.  Terry always had quite the green thumb, and it showed in how she maintained both her garden and her yard.  She also enjoyed spending time camping and boating on the river.

Terry was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Mills; and a grandson, Gage Tolliver.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ross Tyler; her daughters, Karen (Mike) Learn, Cheri (Terry) Tracy, Dana (Jeff) Jackson, and Jenny Petersen; four sisters; one brother; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; along with her various friends from throughout the Rice and Kettle Falls communities.
