In Loving Memory
John Roger Wyatt
John Roger Wyatt, age 57, passed away in the early hours of June 20th, 2022, following a two-year battle with colon cancer. John was born to John Belmore Wyatt and Gladys Joan Wyatt on September 6, 1964 in Coupeville, Washington.
The youngest of four children, John was raised in a loving family where he was taught the important life values he would carry for the remainder of his life. After graduating from Coupeville High School, John would begin a longstanding career as a concrete worker, working for Superior Concrete, among several other businesses.
He met the mother of his son Joseph, Brenda, at age 32, living as roommates on the western side of the state moving from city to city, chasing concrete and construction work which he did for almost 30 years of his life. They shared a happy relationship for 15 years, raising their son, Joseph, for 12 of those years before her tragic passing.
Following the passing of his life partner, Brenda, and looking for a change in pace, John and his son, Joseph, would relocate east with his new partner Lisa and her daughter, settling in the Colville area in early 2013. Here, John would begin working at Habitat for humanity, taking donations and helping to build ramps and make homes more accommodating for the elderly and disabled people in Stevens County. His time here was the perfect combination of construction- his first love and one of his greatest skills, and the care and compassion he had always been taught to value.
When he wasn't busy working away on his various work endeavors, John was still a man that was hard to keep track of. If you took your eye off him for just a moment, he would be 50 feet up a tree trying to install a swing, running off to help clear a neighbor's driveway with his ATV, or possibly pulling stumps. As long as he was doing something with his hands, John was content. With some time, he could make anything work, and he would often leave those around him in awe of the ideas he could come up with.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his partner, Brenda. He is survived by his partner Lisa Bronson; his son, Joseph Wyatt; and his siblings, Step-sister Taylor, half-brother Curtis. A Celebration of John's life took place July 4th 2022, following his cremation. Please visit the online memorial and sign the guestbook at www.danekasfuneralchapel.com. Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory is entrusted with the arrangements.
