John Gibson

John Gibson and his beloved dog Lucy went home to the Lord on December 6, 2021 at his home in Bend, Oregon surrounded by his family. He was born December 13, 1935 to Charlie and Katie Gibson in Sandpoint, Idaho. At a young age he moved with his family to Springdale, Washington where he met and married Reta Martzall. They had 3 daughters. John worked at Vaagen Brothers lumber mill for many years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his grandsons. After a battle with cancer, he moved to Oregon to be close to his family. John is survived by his 3 daughters Cindy Gibson Dahl (Leonard), Tammy Gibson Seiber (Ken), and Tina Gibson and partner (Joel Gassaway), 1 brother, Paul, 1 granddaughter Lindsey Ochoa Miller (Jason), 4 grandsons Eric Dahl (Bonnie), Jeremy Dahl (Shonda), Troy Dahl, John Gibson (Chelsea), 4 great granddaughters Nicole Dahl, Ashleigh Dahl, Kaylie Gibson and Haeyle Funke, 4 great grandsons Landon Dahl, Logan Dahl, Brice Miller and Tristan Miller and numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Reta Martzall Gibson, his mother and father, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
