Jewell "Judy" H. Leliefeld, age 87, a 64-year resident of Loon Lake, WA passed away on February 1, 2025 at her home. Jewell was born on January 14, 1938 in Kettle Falls, WA the daughter of Alfred Frank and Lindnaette Reed (Price) Rail.
Jewell's earliest years were spent in Kettle Falls, WA where she began school. At the age of 10, her family moved to Valley, WA where Judy continued her education. She graduated with the class of 1956 from Valley High School. Judy exchanged wedding vows with her high school sweetheart, Harold Donald Leliefeld on June 1, 1957 at the Valley Catholic Church. They resided for a short time in the Spokane Valley where Jewell worked for a printing company. Don and Jewell then moved to Pomeroy, WA and worked together on a cattle ranch. In 1959, Jewell persuaded Don to purchase her dream home near Loon Lake. They moved to the home in 1961. Jewell devoted herself to the care of her home and growing family as a homemaker. Harold (Don) preceded her in death on May 3, 2016. Jewell remained at the home until her passing.
She was wonderfully independent and active. Jewell devoted most of her time to the care of her family and others. When able, she found solace in the care of her beautiful yard and flower garden. She enjoyed the many camping trips and snowmobile trips they took while her family was growing. The Sunday afternoon drives, after Mass, where treasured get-aways. She prided herself in providing a home filled with faith, family values and warm food around the dinning table every night. On occasion, Jewell was a bit stubborn, as she defended her beliefs and those she loved. She was a hard worker and put others first. She anchored herself in a servant's heart and cherish the opportunity to help others wherever needed.
