Jerry Jay Miller

Jerry Jay Miller passed away Wednesday, September 06, 2023 in Chewelah Washington. Jerry was born December 26, 1939 in Bismark, North Dakota to John and Ida Miller.

He went into the service as a Boiler Tender at age 20 from 1959-1963. He then worked for
International Stone. Jerry met his wife Betty Ringer through mutual friends and they were united
in Marriage for 59 years. In 1972 Jerry started his own excavation business. He retired in 2017.

Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working. You could say being on a backhoe was his favorite
pass time. He also loved witching wells and in his younger days he enjoyed logging with his
draft horses. The thing he loved the most however, was spending time with his family especially
the great grand children. He was an amazing Papa to them all.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, John and Ida Miller, his brothers Frank,
Clyde, Lee and Wayne.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Betty Miller, son, Brad (Crystal) Miller, daughter, Carrie (Don)
Dixon; two brothers, Johnny(Martha) Miller and Ron(Alene) Miller; sister, Darlene Wooley,
seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
