Jerald Dean "Jerry" Baley

Jerald Dean "Jerry" Baley, age 92, passed away in Colville, Washington on April 24, 2024.  Jerry was born on April 2, 1932 in Portland, Oregon to Emmett and Edith (McVicker) Baley.

Jerry would be introduced to the love of his life, Kay Sullivan, early on in his life, having been introduced to each other through family and friends.  The two would remain friends for several years, and following his return from the military, their friendship would blossom into love.  Jerry and Kay would be wed in 1957, going on to welcome two children, Kelly and Robin "Rob" Baley.  The family would relocate from Tillamook, OR in 1967 for Jerry to begin working at Boise Cascade, a career that would span 3 decades and see him retire in 1994 as a supervisor.

An avid outdoorsman, when he wasn't bust, Jerry could be found somewhere in nature.  Whether it be hunting, fishing, trapshooting, or camping, Jerry loved to be outside in any way.  Probably his favorite was trail riding on his horses, with whom he has covered many miles.

Jerry was preceded in death by his sisters, Ginger and Leona.  He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 67 years, Kay Baley at the home; and his children, Kelly and Rob Baley; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
