In 1961, she married James O'Leary (an Air Force Private in Spokane). Together they had three sons.

Janet led the household during 27 years of military service traveling to multiple bases in California, Okinawa and Arizona while raising their three sons. In 1985 they retired and relocated back to Evans Washington (in God's country surrounded by nature along lake Roosevelt).

Janet went to be with the Lord on Oct 21, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, James and her parents.

She is survived by her sister, Joanne; brothers, John, Dan; sons, James, Shaun (Rosemary), Casey (Becky); granddaughters, Heather, Amanda, Nicole, Megan; grandson, Shamus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
