James Steven Lambert
James Steven Lambert, age 48, longtime resident of the Colville, WA area passed away on October 9, 2022 in Colville, WA due to complications of renal failure. He was born on December 17, 1973 in Everett, WA the son of Larry Fred and Patricia Ann (Baughman) Lambert.
James moved when he was young to Colville with his family. He was raised on the family farmette just east of town with his siblings. Their family continued growing and their home was a bustle with James and his 12 siblings. James attended school in Colville and stayed active out of school with his family playing sports, exploring the outdoors and even taking time to have pretend tea with his littlest sisters at their request. James graduated in 1991 from Colville High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served for two years, stateside, in San Diego, CA. He then returned to N.E. Washington and entered culinary college. He had passion for good food and adding increased zest through the addition of the perfect combination of spices. This was true to his spirit as well. James worked a variety of jobs and enjoyed a wide palate of job opportunities. Three years ago, James moved back to Colville where he began working at Columbia Cedar. He also assisted his sister and brother-in-law with the operations of their ice distribution company.
James enjoyed tinkering on old cars and giving renewed motion to cars in poor running condition. He offered his automobile knowledge and skills at no cost to the downtrodden and those with little means. He enjoyed helping others and developed friendships through his kindness and desire to help. His family reminisced about his love for the outdoors, camping, fishing, video gaming and the occasional moonlit midnight sneak-out winter sledding adventures. His tender heart was shared in countless hours with his best friend and brother with Down Syndrome, John Lambert. He had a great sense humor, enjoyed playing jokes and tricks and was an animal lover.
James was preceded in death by his father, Larry; and brothers, John and Joshua Lambert.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Lambert; 9 siblings, Shawnalee Farrington (Mike) of Tennessee, Gina Dashiell (Jason Nash) of Colville, WA, David Lambert, Matthew Lambert, Christopher Lambert (Jenny) all of Colville, WA, Joel Lambert (Sarah) and Jeremy Lambert (Amy) of Spokane, WA, Sabrina Franz (Gary), Tovah Lehr (James) and Deidre McGilvra (Scott) all of Colville, WA, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of extended family.
A gathering of family and friends will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the Shriner's Hospital. Please visit the online memorial and sign the guestbook at www.danekasfuneralchapel.com . Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory is entrusted with the arrangements.
