Ina Renee Sohl

Ina Renee Sohl, age 31, a longtime resident of Chewelah, WA, passed away on July 12, 2022 in Chewelah, following a long-time battle with Multiple Sclerosis and Epilepsy.  Ina was born on September 17, 1990 in Republic, WA the daughter of David Allen Kurtz and Ulla Dawn Hamilton.

Ina moved often with her family in her younger years.  She attended kindergarten in Wilbur, WA, completed second grade in Davenport, WA, and 3 ^rd grade in Republic.  From the 4 ^th grade through her graduation from high school in 2010, Ina attended school in Kettle Falls, WA and graduated from Kettle Falls High School. She welcomed her daughter, Izzabella Sohl into the world shortly after her graduation.  Her ability to care for Izzabella, soon became difficult as she began to battle Multiple Sclerosis only 4 months after Izzy's birth.  Ina loved Izzy and cared for her with the help of her husband, Aj Sohl and her mom, Ulla Goodman.  Ina struggled with her illness and took her own course in life for a time.  She lovingly reunited into the arms of her mother and daughter and together they made their home in Chewelah.  As her health gradually declined, Ina required more loving attention from her family.  She had a strong sense of independence and fought her MS and Epilepsy on a daily basis with a tireless effort.

Ina watched over her family and was quick to defend them at the slightest possibility of ill will or threat. Her dynamic character kept everyone on their toes and often laughing, as Ina did her best to put smiles on the faces around her.  She often found safe haven with her Grandma Pat from whatever mischief she had created.  She had the will of a fighter, yet, would set the world aside to play along-side her young nieces and nephews, letting them practice their "make-up" skills on her and giggling with the simple joys.  Ina's favorite place was the beach, she often dove in with a carefree flop before ever testing the temperature of the water.  She approached life in her own way, head-strong and full of spunk.  She is loved and will be missed.

Ina was preceded in death by her Grandma Pat and Grandpa Tom Hamilton. Her Grandpa Al Kurtz, along with her sister McKenzy Gilbride.

She is survived by her daughter, Izzabella "Izzy" Sohl, at the home, longtime friend and husband, Alexander, Sohl of Wyoming; mother and step father Ulla and Grant Goodman, of Chewelah Wa. Her father And step mother, David and Karen Kurtz of Arkansas; siblings, Krista Monnin of Kettle Falls, WA and Andrew Brockett of Republic, WA; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service for Ina Renee Sohl will begin at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the Garden Valley Community Church near Kettle Falls, WA.  Ash committal will follow at the Garden Valley Community Cemetery. Pastor Shane Moffitt will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.  Please visit the online memorial and sign the guestbook at www.danekasfuneralchapel.com .  Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory is entrusted with the arrangements.
