Gwendolyn Slayton

Gwendolyn Slayton, seven year resident of Chewelah, WA, originally from Mt. Vernon, OR, passed away at the age of 75 on February 2nd at Sacred Heart hospital.

Gwen was born in Phoenix, AZ on April 23rd, 1950 to Gus and Grace (Woodrum) Huffman and was the youngest of eight children. She married Loe G. Slayton on June 4th, 1965 in Prescott, AZ, where she grew up.

Mrs. Slayton enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, woodworking, painting, fishing, road trips, and feel-good music.

Survivors include son Tony Slayton (wife Tammy), son Jack Slayton (wife Sara), daughter Nancy Cross (husband Steven), nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
