Glenn LeRoy Williams Jr.
Glenn LeRoy Williams Jr passed away July 14, 2023 in Spokane, Washington. He was born May 10, 1935 in Miller, South Dakota to the late Glenn and Augusta (Zimmermann) Williams.
Glenn spent some time in South Dakota but grew up mostly in Wallace, Idaho. He graduated from Wallace Jr/Sr High School. He met Kay Tiffney who had caught his eye. He would start dating her and would hitchhike 7 miles to meet her in Mullan. After working hard to capture her heart for 3 years, He would marry the love of his life in 1955. They went on to build a beautiful life of 68 years together.
Glenn worked with his father in the mines for a short term after high school but would go on to join the military. Glenn was in the Navy and started out as a Nuclear Sub Technician working with Torpedo's. He would stay in the military 26 years until he retired in 1980. After he retired, he worked with Forest services in Colville in the summers.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Mike Williams.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife Kay Williams, one daughter, Heather Williams of Colville, WA, two sons, Scott (Johnna) Williams of Colville, WA and Steve Williams of Colville, WA, one brother, Marvin Williams of Couer D'Alene, ID, one sister, Dora Ridenour of Worland, WY, 5 biological grandchildren, 2 by marriage and many great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
