Glenn Dale
Belback
Jun 24, 1947 — Jun 4, 2022
Colville
In Loving Memory
Glenn Dale Belback
Glenn Dale Belback, age 74, a 38-year resident of Colville, WA passed away on June 4, 2022 at his home due to a sudden cardiac event. Glenn was born on June 24, 1947 in Riverside, CA the son of Gerald Dean and Mary Ann (Coats) Belback.
Glenn grew up in Riverside with his family. There he attended school and then enlisted into the U.S. Army. He served two tours overseas in Vietnam before returning stateside where he was honorably discharged. He began a family while in California and they moved to Spokane, WA and then Newport, WA. On February 3, 1979 he married Carroll Stinson in Coeur d'Alene, ID and their families combined into one with a "plus one" addition later on. They relocated to Riverside, CA for a short time and in 1984 came to Colville where they have resided since. Carroll and Glenn's marriage came to an end but their friendship never did. He dedicated his life to raising and supporting his family.
Glenn was an amazing gentle soul. He loved to fish with his children and grandchildren. His love for the perfect cast was shared with all those who loved to be with him and learn from him. He often reminisced about old fishing tales, war stories, and his upbringing in the "older" days. He was an avid collector with a collection that spanned from old metal wagon wheels to deer sheds and mounts. He had a gift for making cases to display arrowheads. Glenn had a passion for Native American music and waking the children up in the morning with his rendition of "Long Neck Bottle" by Garth Brooks. His yard art was next-level with a hand-made western scene flare. In compliment to his appreciation of westerns was his time watching Oak Island Search and the search for the mystery. Older westerns actions and dramas were a familiar sight and favorite sounds coming from his television.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Dean Belback and three sisters, Dorothy Villa, Opal and Mary Jane.
He is survived by his children, Evan Belback (Holly) of New Mexico, MO, Greg Belback (Elizabeth) of Coeur d'Alene, ID, Teresa Hydorn (Andy) of Colville, WA, Glenn Belback (Raven) of Evans, WA, Casey Stinson (Amber) of Colville, WA, Frank Stinson (Destin) of Colville, WA; grandchildren, Michael, Lela, Bryant, Hunter, Katelyn, Colton, Shontelle, Tizara, Brandon, Keyrsten, Logan, Makenzie, Tyler, Haley, Schylre, MaryLou, Charles, Colby and Kylie; sister, Anna Marie Osteen of Spokane, WA; four-legged canine friend, Maisey Moo.
The family gathered for a time of reflection and visitation with Mr. Glenn D. Belback at the Danekas Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of your choice.
